Fantasy Football Week 13 - Notable WR/CB Matchups

Jamison Crowder (WAS) @ Orlando Scandrick (DAL)

After an awful start to the szn, Crowder's finally emerged as the playmaker that we all thunk he'd be. Since Week 8, Crowder has been fantasy's WR8 averaging 19 PPR fantasy points in those four games. Check out Crowder's splits with versus without Jordan Reed on the field in 2017:

• Over his last four games, Crowder is averaging 10.5 targets per game and over 108 total yards per game, those are legitimate WR1 numbers. With both Jordan Reed and Terrelle Pryor out of the mix, expect clam chowda Crower to keep eatin.
• The Skins will travel to Jerry's World where Crowder will line up against the Boys' slot CB Orlando Scandrick in a game with a healthy projected total of 47.
• Scandrick is PFF's 7th lowest graded slot CB on the szn allowing the 9th most fantasy points per route run to opposing WRs of all NFL CBs (0.35). 
• Last week we saw Keenan Allen run rampid on da Boys to the tune of 11-172-1. And luckily for us we've already seen what Crowder can do against Scandrick, posting a 9-123 line back in Week 8.
• Fire Crowder up as high-end WR2 in all formats.

Marqise Lee (JAX) vs. Kenny Moore II (IND)

• The Jags WR currently receiving (no pun intended) the most hype right now isn't their best one, it's Dede Westbrook. But, with the loss of their #1 CB, Rashaan Melvin, Lee should put himself squarely back in the mouths of fantasy owners around the globe.
• Lee threw up a somewhat expected dud of a game in Week 12 as he was draped by Patrick Peterson for the most part, but prior to Week 12 Lee's usage was at a high level. He had seen at least 9 targets in 4 of their last 5 games and was averaging about 15 PPR fantasy points per during that span. With Allen Hurns looking to be sidelined yet again in Week 13, expect Lee's usage to revert back to these types of numbers.
• We now look to the opponent: Kenny Moore II. An UDFA out of Valdosta State (???), Moore has only been in coverage for a total of 48 routes this season. Lee's about to tear this boi up. Moore will surrender 3 inches and nearly 20 pounds to the Jags wideout. Moore is allowing 67% of the passes his way to be completed and ranks in the bottom 10 amongst all NFL CBs in yards allowed per route covered (1.62). He grades out as PFF's 5th worst LCB. 
• Lee is in a solid spot to grab 7-8 passes for upwards of 80-100 yards and a flirt with a score.

Zay Jones (BUF) vs. Stephon Gilmore (NE)

• I know with Kelvin likely out, people are getting excited about Zay Jones this week and him slowly becoming the WR1 in Buffalo, but y'all should probably slow ya roll a bit. This Patriots defense has done a complete 180 shift on the defensive side of the ball having become one of the more difficult pass defenses to have success throwing against. Per Chris Raybon (@ChrisRaybon - Twitter), the Pats haven't allowed over 237 passing yards or multiple throwing scores against them in any of their last five games.
• GiIlmore had missed a few games over the middle of the season, but he's back and looking as good as advertised. He's currently grading out as PFF's #14 overall outside CB. He ranks top-20 in lowest completion % allowed and fantasy points allowed per route covered and matches Zay's speed and size combination perfectly.
• It's a tough matchup overall for this Bills team. Charles Clay is the only guy I want a piece of in this passing O.

Ted Ginn (NO) vs. Daryl Worley (CAR)

• Teddy boi's putting together an unexpected great year in 2017 and has actually shown some consistency over recent weeks. Aside from a 1-catch, 3-yard showing in Buffalo in which the Saints ran for the 300 yards and won by about just as much and didn't need to throw, Ginn hasn't finished a game with less than 59 receiving yards since Week 4. He's scored 14+ fantasy points in 5 of his last seven games and gets a matchup with a beatable Carolina secondary that's allowed the 13th most fantasy points to the position.
• What's more intriguing about this matchup is Worley's speed. He has the single slowest 40-yard dash (4.64) of all CBs suiting up in Week 13. I don't need to tell you that Ted Ginn is fast.
• The Panthers got smoked by speedster Robby Anderson last week for a 6-146-2 stat line. Allowed a 5-67 to Kenny Stills the week prior and 3-56 to Taylor Gabriel the week before that. Nothing crazy there, but those players are similar to Ginn, and he's way more involved in his offense than the previous two. Ginn already played the Panthers back in Week 3, he scored on a touchdown, catching two balls for 44 yards.

Cooper Kupp is another obvious great choice this week. With Robert Woods out again, Kupp and Watkins will share a huge workload. But only one of them won't have to line up across from Patrick Peterson....
